Chief Executive Officer, Bryan Crittenden
Mr. Bryan Crittenden will be the Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Mr. Crittenden is a results-oriented senior business executive with a solid record of achievements in food and beverage industries. He has accumulated over 20 years of experience in C-Level positions with PepsiCo, the Hershey Company, Groupe Danone and multiple assignments with Private Equity firms. Mr. Crittenden possesses exceptional expertise, capabilities and experiences gained working domestically and in over 30 international food and beverage markets. He has a broad understanding of product development, manufacturing, sales and marketing and finance and will bring a wealth of experience to the Company.
From 2010 to 2014, Mr. Crittenden was the Chief Operating Officer and CFO for Alasko Foods Inc., a portfolio company held by Catterton Partners, which is the largest distributor and importer of frozen fruits and vegetable in Canada with revenues of $90 million. In this position, Mr. Crittenden was responsible for the firm’s overall business and financial performance. Achievements included refocusing the commercial strategy, rebuilding the global supply chain, restructuring and enhancing the business teams, reducing inventory levels and installing a new credit facility.
From 2008-2010, Mr. Crittenden was the President and Chief Executive Officer for two under-performing portfolio companies of EG Capital. Cheeseworks was a $80 million distributor and importer of specialty foods based in New York and Laura Secord was an $80 million dollar specialty chocolate retailer operating 130 stores based in Canada. Over this time period, Mr. Crittenden rebuilt both businesses simultaneously. He designed new commercial strategies, rebuilt the supply chains, restructured the management and business teams and reduced overall operating costs. This work yielded strong improvements in both businesses and led to the successful sale of Laura Secord in 2010.
From 2004-2008, Mr. Crittenden was a Vice President for the Hershey Company with responsibility for building profitable and scalable growth in targeted developing markets. As VP-Business Development, Mr. Crittenden developed a pipeline of over 20 international projects targeting expansion in China, Russia, Brazil and the Latin American region. As VP-Latin America, Mr. Crittenden doubled the size of the business delivering over $100 million of profitable growth. Among achievements with Hershey, Mr. Crittenden led the rebuilding and expansion of the Mexican business and built a Joint Venture with Bauducco to expand the Brazilian market.
Previous positions held by Mr. Crittenden include Senior Vice President and CFO for Danone Waters of North America where he led the transformation of Danone’s $1 billion water business in North America. Mr. Crittenden was also CEO for Danone’s biscuit business in Poland where he built a profitable +$100 million dollar business in three years. Prior to joining Danone, he was Chief Executive Officer of E. Wedel Sweet, a $200 million confectionery business unit of PepsiCo based in Poland where he rebuilt the business, improved profitability by 90% and led the successful divestiture of the business units.
Mr. Crittenden received his undergraduate degree from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Crittenden will be responsible for the development, expansion and profitability of the Company over the next three years, the further development, recruitment and selection of the executive management team and the overall leadership and day-to-day direction of the Company.
Mr. Crittenden will report to the Board of Directors of the Company.
